Shift Leader

Purpose of the Position:

• The Shift Leader is responsible and accountable for assisting the management team in all restaurant activities. Shift Leaders are well versed in every position in the restaurant and have the potential to promote into management roles with Rusty Taco.

Responsibilities:

• The Hourly Manager is a support role to the restaurant management team and is responsible for any tasked outlined by the General Manager.
• Manages staffing levels throughout the shift; makes appropriate business decisions on labor.
• Receives product/food from vendors and is responsible for verifying the invoice, temperatures of product and the product quality.
• Actively participates as a member of the management team and is expected to set the example and direction during the shift.
• Helps the management team train new and existing team members to ensure they are following recipes and procedures.
• Helps to train new hires in the absence of restaurant trainers.
• Recognizes and thanks team members.
• Excellent communication skills: oral and written

Knowledge:

• Basic computer functions (MS word, excel)
• Knowledgeable of Rusty Taco training procedures and materials
• Food Handlers/Food Safety Certification
• Responsible Alcohol Service Certification, where applicable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
