We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Service Advisor for a large volume service department. The responsibilities of this role includes greeting the customer, creating a service repair order based on the customer’s request, and keeping the customer informed of the status of the repair.

Responsibilities
Assist customers with setting service appointments, and keeping our clients informed of the status of their vehicles in for service.
Open and close work orders in a timely manner.
Research vehicle recalls, service & repair information with manufacturers’ websites.
Responsible for providing outstanding customer service and communication to the customer while driving repair work into the service department.
Greet customer with an empathetic, caring approach.
Advise customer about necessary service for routine maintenance and warranty repairs.
Help identify mechanical problems by consulting with the customer and/or performing a visual inspection.
Prepare work order for needed repairs.
Dispatch work orders to the technician whose skillset best matches the repair needed.
Prepare and coordinate an estimate showing parts and labor for service.
Confer with customer about inspection results and recommend corrective procedures.
Explain the work performed and the charges to the customer.
Prepare the repair order for closing by typing the cause and correction of the original complaint, obtaining a purchase order or form of payment, and invoicing.
Coordinate scheduling of mobile repair services.
Relay status of repair information to the customer at least twice daily.
Utilize all business technology both provided by the dealer and the manufacturer as directed by the Service Manager.
Handle customer complaints at level one determine if the situation warrants escalating the complaint to the Service Manager.
Primary responsibility for answering incoming phone calls.
Qualifications
2-3 years Service Advisor experience in related industry or equivalent with heavy duty truck dealerships (preferred)
Must work closely with vehicle repair technicians
Excellent verbal and written skills
Respectable comprehension of dealer business systems and computer skills
Clean driving record
Must pass drug screen and background check
Basic technical knowledge or aptitude desired
Customer service/relations experience desired
Strong aptitude or experience with computer technology
