Responsibilities:
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Monitor customer behavior and ensure a safe and enjoyable atmosphere
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns promptly
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in the food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math for handling cash transactions and calculating tips
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems for order processing
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales skills to upsell and promote menu items
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Ability to handle food and beverages safely, including proper storage and handling techniques
