NRP Investments LLC is currently seeking a Senior Workday Analyst - Payroll & Systems to join our team in Cleveland, OH!
The Senior Workday Analyst is an integral part of the HR team, and in partnership with another Senior Analyst, is responsible for executing timely and accurate US payroll processes and providing day-to-day Workday support to other Human Resources team members across modules such as Time Tracking, Absence and Compensation. Under the direction of the Director of HR Technology & Payroll, this role will also assist with providing support for day-to-day Workday management including import loads (EIB), configuration, security, audit reporting, testing and other troubleshooting support. This role serves as a resource and partner to the HR team and employees and is required to develop and maintain positive relationships to ensure business objectives are met.
Payroll Administration
* Process US payroll and manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely; partner with OSV (managed payroll partner)
* Audit payroll transactions and payroll registers prior to completion and validate confirmed reports
* Manage the payroll, timekeeping & absence module (Workday), inclusive of making edits to time punches for employees by manager request on an as needed basis as well as approving and submitting time
* Research and investigate timely and accurately payroll discrepancies and employee issues
* manage garnishment administration and other special payroll deductions and employment verifications with OSV
* Generate a variety of payroll reports to include pay period, monthly and special reports requested by business leaders and Finance
* Review and approve payroll tax data updates submitted through self-service via Workday software
* Review, retrieve and respond to payroll emails, including those received to Human Resources regarding new hires, payroll changes, terminations, and payroll inquiry inbox
* Process terminations and final pay calculations within state guidelines in Workday timely and accurately
* Ensure company policies and procedures and federal and state rules and regulations follow relevant laws and internal processes
* Ensure system integrity is maintained, including maintenance of configuration
* ensure all releases and Workday changes are appropriately tested prior to migration to production
* Assist with research, process improvements and projects on an as needed basis
* conduct and/or participate in internal and external audits
* Assist in the preparation of benefit reports and/or input benefit deductions including monthly benefit reconciliations
Workday Support
* Assist with support for transactions as needed in HR System - Workday modules include: HCM, recruiting, benefits, payroll, absence, advanced compensation, time tracking, absence, talent & learning.
* Respond to all payroll request via Workday Help
* Configure, test, validate and implement Business Process changes in Workday
* Assist in testing of integrations, security, annual events
* Evaluate functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday
* Perform data audits and provide day to day system maintenance to monitor and maintain data accuracy
* Develop, document, and maintain system audits and procedures.
* Create and modify ad hoc reports as needed; maintain schedule and delivery of ongoing reports to meet HR team and client needs.
Qualifications:
* Workday Payroll experience required (minimum 3 years); experience with OSV preferred
* Minimum 3 years multi-state payroll experience and familiarity with US payroll and payroll tax laws required
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize workload, coordinate multiple tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate, document and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
* Effective decision-making, pro-active problem-solving, and organizational and leadership skills
* Demonstrated professional demeanor and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
* Ability to quickly build rapport and trust while maintaining integrity dealing with sensitive information
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or related field; or equivalent HRIS experience required
