What You Will Do at ODM:

Classification:Senior Budget Analyst (PN 20094409)
Job Overview:
- Plans and implements the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) capital/operating budget, office/section budgets and allotments, appropriations and reappropriations
- Develops internal budget plans and procedures; reviews and analyzes ODM, state and/or federal legislation for financial impact on the Medicaid program
- Submits written analyses to management
- Gathers budget and statistical data to compile budget, variance and relevant reports for various ODM budget components to ensure sufficiency of funding
- Monitors ODM budget components, funding within relevant timeframe
- Reviews and completes budget changes and adjustments
- Authorizes expenditures and purchases relevant to the administering ODM budget components
- Prepares budget statements, allotments, appropriates and budget/variance reports weekly, monthly, and as needed utilizing ODM analytical budget software and/or Ohio Administrative Knowledge System/Financials (OAKS/FIN) and/or OAKS/Business Intelligence (BI)
