Office location is flexible, in the U.S. dependent on the candidate's experience in this industry, with preference to the candidate being located in New York, NY or Chicago, IL (in a hybrid-remote role for collaboration and Professional Services Client Relationships). What the day will look like Assume the role as senior account leader for large law firms buying insurance through a group purchasing vehicle. Serve as the primary advisor to all group members in conjunction with arising law firm risk and insurance market issues and their potential impact on the group. Coordinate all group-based decisions and activities among members, including quarterly group meetings, board meetings and an annual meeting. Develop and enhance group relationships with key insurance market partners. Manage and oversee team members who assist in providing insurance broking and related advisory services for the insurance needs of the foregoing law firms. This includes delegating tasks to team members and working with them to provide the following services: Building client relationships and delivery of services and advice to clients' senior management, risk managers and offices of general counsel. Build relationships with insurance/reinsurance markets and lead the strategy and broking of requisite insurance placements. Provide advice, support, and prepare key deliverables to clients. Advise and present to senior client contacts regarding their insurance programs, Aon deliverables, and in response to requests and inquiries. Oversee the preparation of underwriting submissions and exhibits for commercial (re)insurers and for individual clients and as needed for risk purchasing groups Oversee drafting and preparation of policy documentation and endorsements and prepare wording comparisons across different risks, when necessary. Oversee the preparation of premium invoices and compute applicable taxes and track the receipt and flow of funds. Monitor the financial strength ratings of commercial (re) insurers. Lead the accurate organization and administration of clients' claims data and its extraction for reporting purposes. Collaborate with the group's data and analytics leader in using data to assist clients in understanding and managing their professional liability risk. Prepare and analyze statistical exhibits and presentations in relation to historical claims experience. Collaborate with team members and Aon's actuaries to analyze the cost of risk for the setting of (re)insurance premiums. Prepare reports, summaries, papers, and meeting materials for delivery directly to clients by the candidate. Plan and coordinate client meetings and events as required. Drive business development within the practice and the exploration of new and evolving risks and potential risk transfer and risk financing solutions. Respond to queries from clients and commercial (re)insurers. Lead and assist in the preparation and issuance of verifications of insurance. Collaborate with colleagues in other Aon offices in the coordinated delivery of service to clients. Attend team meetings, maintain team/personal outstanding lists, and maintain files that clearly and accurately record the activities and communications of the team. Attend training sessions, presentations and meetings that will assist with present and anticipated future responsibilities. How this opportunity is different

The candidate must manage and lead team members and ensure all clients' needs are promptly and accurately satisfied; ensure all deadlines are met on a timely basis; ensure quality standards are maintained and handle projects and responsibilities independently. Requirements: Minimum of 10 years of previous insurance or related experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical skills Experience in using data and models to deliver solutions Strong communication skills Experience as an effective teammate and senior client relationship manager Motivated and self-directed; able to work with minimal direct supervision Validated sales skills focused on new business and penetration sales Experience working with alternative risk funding mechanisms, reinsurance and self-funding strategies Experience working with group buying programs Strong attention to detail Ability to work under pressure Ability to organize, prioritize and control workflow deadlines, handle several tasks and responsibilities and be flexible Commitment to supporting the development of colleagues and ability to train and mentor others effectively Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and Adobe) Willingness to travel within the U.S. and internationally Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience Insurance broker license Achievement of, or study towards, other insurance designations (e.g., CRM, CIP)

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250,000-$275,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
