Enru Logistics and Postal Optimization is seeking a senior level HR professional with an uncommon blend of strategic HR leadership and fervent execution skills to join our team and contribute to the dynamic operation of our Human Resources function at our site in Bolingbrook, Illinois with HR responsibility over 7 additional distribution centers.
The SVP of HR for Enru Postal Optimization & Logistics will be the strategic HR partner for the entire executive leadership team leading a team of 5 HR professionals and supporting nearly 700 employees. This role, reporting directly to the CEO, will be responsible for leadership and organizational development, succession planning, performance management, employee relations, employee engagement initiatives, training, payroll, and total rewards.
We require an HR Leader with a personal passion for continuous improvement, data-based decision making, change management and transformational turnarounds coupled with a strong level of knowledge in all HR functional areas. Experience with organizations in transitions is a plus, as is the ability to be flexible and pivot quickly in response to evolving dynamics.
The role is located in our Bolingbrook, IL facility and will require some travel (~10%) to our consolidation facilities (CFs).
Responsibilities:
- Act as a problem-solving partner ensuring alignment of HR activities with the overall strategic and operating plan
- Provide thought leadership and coaching support to key leaders and CF managers
- Leading a team owning end to end HR processes including recruiting, onboarding, off boarding, metrics, engagement, employee relations, payroll, compensation and company polices.
- Partner with LSC corporate benefits to ensure competitive benefit structures that attract and retain world class logistics and transportation talent
- Drive a continuous improvement culture within the HR function and processes as well as within the CFs
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Develop, deliver, and maintain a leadership development and training curriculum for Enru.
- Partner with leadership on organizational design and resource deployment to drive increased productivity and achieve optimal labor efficiency
- Create the right work environment to ensure a safe, engaged and productive employee base
- Foster strong communication to all levels of the organization focused on improving employee engagement and culture
- Facilitate the performance management cycle to execute annual performance review process, People Review Process, annual bonus and merit processes and succession planning activities
- Maintain knowledge of HR legal requirements and WC, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- 8+ years of senior HR business partnering experience, with at least 5 years in logistics, or logistics adjacent industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- Experience supporting leaders, teams and employees across multiple locations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to build strong and credible relationships across multiple teams and departments
- Demonstrated strategic, critical, analytical, and innovative thinking skills
- Proven ability to create a positive culture, with high morale and strong performance
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Experience with all levels of an organization from C-Suite to hourly production workforce
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Ceridian Dayforce platforms a plus
- Willingness to travel ~ 10%
