We’re seeking a future team member in the role of SeniorVice President, Production Services Infrastructure Supportto join our Platform Production Services Virtualization team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- L3 support for VM workload issues, including performance analysis and sizing
- Take on team leadership role, driving critical projects and strategic org efforts
- Automation, maintenance, patching and remediation of the hypervisor infrastructure, especially creating new ad hoc automations via powershell (etc) to support vm maintenance/rollout activities.
- Organize team resources to carry out large scale vm infra maintenance patching and upgrade activities. Innovate by collaborating to create more efficient processes and automations to carry out same.
- Organize and carry out large scale VM, storage and host migrations using storage migration and tools like Zerto, in support of HW refresh projects
- Integrate third party applications (i.e backup and infra mgmt. tools) to VM Infra
- On boarding new hosts and clusters into mgmt Infra
- Provisioning network, disk and compute resources for VM workloads
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred10 - 12 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Current experience administering a medium to large VMware vsphere host infra 7x
- Familiarity with vmware support tools required, including powershell and other automation packages.
- Experience with and knowledge of how hypervisor hosts consume and manage network/storage: specifically, fibre channel SAN and Network infra including VLANs and trunking.
- Experience with VRealize Operations (aka Aria) a plus
- Familiarity with blade server infrastructure and support tools. Experience with Cisco UCS a plus

Designs, implements, integrates, and provides full support for complex software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment. Maintains and supports moderately complex infrastructure environments. Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert. Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup. Leads root cause analysis and problem management for complex problems to address underlying technical issues. Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders. Analyzes the most complex issues that arise.Collaborates with infrastructure engineering, quality assurance, app support for capacity monitoring & instrumentation. Creation of architectural diagrams and design specifications to aid automation.Designs, implements, and maintains automation toolsets for configuration management, infrastructure and application deployment processes. Complex Incident, Problem Management & Troubleshooting.Maintains business and operations relationships to ensure business needs are addressed. Interface with other technology groups including Application Development and Support.May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members.Contributes to the achievement of area objectives.
