SalaryWe are now looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join our high performing and innovative team. The Senior Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the USA and Canadian federal, state and county/city level tax compliances. Specific responsibilities include working with the Global Tax Director on strategy and planning, including Mergers & Acquisitions and tax due diligence. You will have oversight of income tax returns, sales & use tax returns, property tax returns and franchise tax filings and prepare monthly and annual tax provision calculations.
Responsibilities:
- Review of USA and Canada tax compliance including Federal, State and Country/City income tax returns, franchise tax returns, Sales & Use tax returns, Property tax returns
- Review of monthly tax provision calculations and annual tax provision for financial accounts
- Management of tax audits and reviews by Government Authorities
- Undertaking tax research to provide technically accurate tax advice to the business
- Monitoring tax legislative changes and communicating any changes that impact the company to the appropriate stakeholders
- Coordinating with local tax advisors where required
- Contributing to tax planning projects and strategy development in consultation with the Global Tax Manager
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- 8+ years' experience in a public accounting tax group or in a similar tax role in industry
- Experience with both federal and state tax laws
- Experience and passion for leading and developing your team
- A commercial mindset
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Great communication and stakeholder management skills
- Driven and ambitious
