Senior Tax Associate

We continue to grow at KMA, S.C., and we want you to grow with us! We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience within a public accounting firm. This position is responsible for preparing a broad spectrum of tax returns, and we also need you to know how to take a stack of messy files and enter them into a return. Ongoing career development and training are provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships and S corporations
• Prepare tax research and tax projections
• Review tax work of less experienced staff
• Taking messy accounting files and putting them into a tax return
• Train, mentor, and provide work direction to staff
• Manage multiple client assignments and communicate with partners and clients
• Market firm services to existing and prospective clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA license is preferred or on track to pass CPA exam
• Minimum of 3 years of experience at a public accounting firm in tax related position
• Experience preparing returns for individuals, partnerships and S corporations
• Working knowledge of accounting services which can include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger Entries, Payroll Processing, Payroll Tax Filing, Sales Tax Filing, and Financial Statement Preparation and Analysis
• QuickBooks experience is required
• Strong organizational, writing, and verbal communication skills
