We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our team. As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with tax preparation and compliance tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in tax accounting and work in a collaborative and supportive environment.
```Responsibilities```
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations
- Assist with tax planning and research
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements and reports
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Assist with audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Provide support to Senior Tax professionals as needed
```Skills```
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and GAAP
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Familiarity with technical accounting concepts
- Ability to interpret financial reports and analyze data
- Experience with sales and use tax compliance is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
