Job Description

The Senior Sales Operations and Analytics Manager will be a key member of the Oncology Sales Analytics and Operations team and the broader Market Analytics team that serves the US Clinical Oncology commercial teams.  This individual will be responsible for delivering sales enablement capabilities and operational support for Guardant’s US Oncology sales force; they will also develop sales enablement strategy and related systems and processes that increase the effectiveness of our Commercial organization. Additional responsibilities will include sales reporting and guiding effective field force accounts and engagement planning. This role will serve as the trusted advisor to the US Commercial Team, in particular Sales and Marketing. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and leverage sales analytics to help shape commercial strategy and execution of field activities.
  • In collaboration with Marketing Analytics and Finance, routinely monitor and assess relevant commercial key performance indicators and sales forecast models.
  • Work closely with Marketing Analytics to establish sales force promotional response analysis and report findings to executive leadership team.
  • Establish a comprehensive suite of sales force reporting metrics and develop an implementation road map.
  • Guide the sales analytics and operations team to ensure delivery of salesforce effectiveness and productivity metrics and dashboards
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including software and data warehouse, to deploy sales tools that improve efficiency and effectiveness of field teams
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in sales analytics and operations, including IC design and administration for 200+ person field teams
  • 4+ years of oncology or specialty diagnostics analytics experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a quantitative discipline.  Advanced degree preferred (PhD, MBA)
  • Experienced Business Owner of Veeva CRM
  • Experience with data reporting platforms and fluency with support software such as Veeva MyInsights, Salesforce, Tableau, or other relevant platforms.
  • Experience in creating an account hierarchy and participate in data integrity discussions through the Commercial Analytics Center of Excellence and in support of the MDM and Data Warehouse.
  • Experience with primary and secondary data analysis, sales force promotional metrics and sales force activity data.
  • Aptitude to collaborate closely with sales teams and commercial leadership to support development of sales strategies, tactics and performance management.

Additional Information

Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $132,616 to $179,000 The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
