Responsibilities
We are looking to hire an individual who will report to the Head of Marketing Strategy & Research to aid in further enhancing and developing internal reporting, analytics and business strategy for the Marketing Department. This candidate will be responsible for helping to execute on all of the team's initiatives and will work alongside Marketing management, Marketing Reps and the Global Marketing Strategy & Research team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage and liaise with investment teams and Corporate Finance on the development of the Firm's fundraising assumptions (original target vs. projections);
  • Manage and report on department's fundraising progress relative to target at the strategy level with Corporate Finance for Oaktree's Board of Directors, senior leadership meetings and firmwide reporting (e.g., Townhall);
  • Act as the key conduit between Brookfield and Oaktree for all questions related to fundraising;
  • Manage the ongoing implementation and business requirements associated with Salesforce, the CRM system;
  • Act as key liaison for Marketing Leadership and Marketing Reps and drive new technology initiatives for the department (including travel to offices and training Reps);
  • Provide analytical and research support on fee negotiations related to new business opportunities;
  • Work closely with various departments across the organization, including Client Relations, Legal, Compliance, and Accounting, on the implementation of new firm systems (e.g., e-sub doc project);
  • Support fundraising efforts by partnering with our Workgroup Leads, to provide regular commitment summary/pipeline updates, help drive marketing-related collateral used during a fundraise, and work with new products group, legal, the product specialist, marketing leadership and others in the development of timelines, marketing materials, webcasts, legal documents, regulator registrations and the appropriate fund container;
  • Liaise with regional strategy and research team members to ensure global coordination of department and firm initiatives;
  • Perform other tasks and project work

Qualifications
  • 5-6 years of experience preferably within the investment banking, institutional asset management or consulting industries
  • Strong analytical background and project management skills
  • Experience managing and modeling large amounts of data in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience analyzing financial data and metrics with sufficient familiarity to recognize potential issues
  • Knowledge of other Microsoft Tools, including PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with client relationship management systems, including Salesforce
  • Proven track record working with individuals across various disciplines including Marketing, product specialists, portfolio managers, and IT teams to understand and define reporting requirements

Education
Bachelor's degree required
Base Salary Range
$110,000 - $125,000
In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement. The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
