A Day in the Life

The Product ManagerOffice Therapies, Downstream Marketing, is an essential Medtronic ENT Marketing team member, reporting to the Director of Marketing, CRS Emerging Markets. In this role, you are the marketing lead, product line expert, and primary contact to create and implement marketing plans and acquisition programs that align with business strategies for our office site of service. Your efforts directly contribute to the delivery of core product line growth.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Executed global marketing strategies, planning, and coordination for Medtronic ENT's product lines that built Medtronic's market penetration in the US. 

  • Develop messaging, positioning, and pricing strategies for the product within global markets and segments.

  • Lead launch efforts for new products and line extensions.  Create and execute a communication plan and promotion strategy.  Identify customer segments and create targeting prioritization. 

  • Leverage market research and develop competitive strategies and tactics to grow market share.

  • Maintain product, competitive product, and market knowledge for dissemination to the sales group and senior management.

  • Establish and maintain active and collaborative relationships with customers and sales personnel.

  • Represent the organization as a primary contact for downstream marketing activities for assigned product lines.

  • Provide input into the long-term platform lifecycle, including analyses to support product line changes: ex new product development, acquisition, or discontinuation.

  • Prepare forecasts and short-range budgets for product lines.

  • Gather detailed information, analysis, and investigation to overcome problems and issues faced regarding product marketing.

  • Develop and maintain strong KOL relationships to enable effective product portfolio strategy.

  • Represent marketing on cross-functional teams for sustaining projects by channeling customer feedback. 

  • Provide a central point of contact for field sales needs, including marketing communications, collateral, training, presentations, etc.

  • Collaborate with global marketing partners to develop annual business plans.

  • Consult with Medical Education and Sales Training to develop a strategy for the existing procedural and adjacent areas.

  • Work effectively with team and other departments to ensure necessary support and project input.

  • Develop effective promotional educational campaigns and sales materials.

  • Assist with due diligence and integration activities in acquisition processes as needed.

  • Perform all activities in compliance with the Quality System.

  • Perform duties in compliance with environmental, health, and safety-related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.

  • Travel requirement:  25-50%

  • Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of marketing, sales, product management, or consulting experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years experience

Nice to Have
  • Background in marketing or sales of capital equipment is strongly preferred

  • Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment

  • Knowledge of medical device sales in the physician's office setting

  • Coding and reimbursement knowledge for medical products/procedures

  • Experience with direct-to-customer (DTC) and direct-to-patient (DTP) marketing campaigns

  • Ability to present to large groups from the sales and customer side

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered complies with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
