Job Overview
Working under close supervision, the Senior Support Clerk supports Wawanesa’s operations by ensuring production standards are upheld through timely processing of workflow and document management. This position will work full time in our San Diego, CA Wawanesa office.
Compensation: Depends on experience and varies by location.
California Compensation:
- The pay range for this position is $19.05 - $25.78 per hour, depending on experience. This position is considered non-exempt for purposes of wage-hour law, which means you are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a workweek or more than 8 hours in a workday.
Job Responsibilities
- Meet business productivity standards and goals on a consistent basis.
- Support workflow by managing policy documents, inclusive of gathering, routing, maintaining logs and performing minimal data entry.
- Prepare and scan documents, check on accuracy and quality after scanning, and ensure changes are made if needed.
- Manage files as needed such as printing, copying, transferring or deleting.
- Open and distribute incoming mail and correspondence.
- Pick up interoffice and outgoing mail, organize for courier and apply needed postage.
- Receive and fold production mail to prepare for mailing.
- Manage closed files, inclusive of pulling and distributing.
- Assist with the training of new staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Good understanding and experience with office equipment.
- Good understanding of computer software systems.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality of work product.
- Solid communication skills, inclusive of the ability to treat others with respect and courtesy.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and promote a positive working environment.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to multi task.
- Ability to consistently anticipate requirements and initiate action as needed.
- Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on an infrequent basis
- Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time while operating equipment.
- Position requires medium to high mobility throughout the branch buildings to meet internal staff demands, inclusive of cart pushing, box moving, climbing of file room ladders and assisting with office furniture moves.
