As the Operations Senior Research Associate (SRA) for Corteva Agriscience, you will have the opportunity to gain diverse experience with the foundations of leadership in agriculture research. This position is ideal for individuals whose passions have drawn them to pursue the leadership of a high-quality data collection team.
This role will focus on pioneering execution within the modern plant science industry. This role focuses on ensuring all operations staff members have the tools they need to execute varying research activities. Our activities take place in the field, warehouse, labs, greenhouses, shade houses, processing facilities, and in the office.
This position would be responsible for leading 5 Corteva R&D Research Associates in Woodland Ca. In addition to our full time staff, this role will be responsible for the supervision of contract labor.
Responsibilities – What You Will Do:
- Use technology, including drones, iPads, and various software tools to collect, evaluate and distribute data following detailed protocols. Manage and QC data.
- Lead assigned projects and coordinate experiment execution with scientists
- Managed sunflower characterization research project
- Organize and supervise the work of all operations employees. Maintain or improve efficient daily workplace operations.
- Assist in managing recordkeeping for PPQ and genetically modified regulated material.
- Lead in site safety culture and ensure adherence to safety standards
- May serve on teams appropriate to the specific research project
Qualifications
Requirements – What Skills You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or related scientific field with 4+ years related experience, or a relevant Master’s degree
- Knowledge of agronomy, crop production, plant development, and experimental field plot design are preferred.
- Strong attention to detail in a deadline driven environment.
- Demonstrate skills in leadership, operational safety, labor supervision, and time management.
- Ability to develop a working relationship with team members by exhibiting excellent communication and personal interaction skills with a diverse group of people.
- Must be capable of working in varying ergonomic and environmental conditions for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work extended days at critical times of the season.
- A valid US driver’s license is required

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $73,060 – $91,330 yearly. This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
