Senior Manager, Shopper Insights - Walmart

What You Will Do
The Senior Manager, Shopper Insight serves on the Walmart customer focused team and is responsible for driving joint value creation and strategies to meet both the goals of the customer and the company. Achieving sales goals across the Walmart ecosystem will be delivered by uncovering and curating actional Shopper Insights through development of capabilities and processes establishment.
You will be a reliable, trusted partner of the Walmart data, analytics, and insights team. You will play an integral role in crafting our E2E analytics strategy and development of multifaceted capabilities to evolve with the business. You will also identify and lead projects in collaboration with functional partners spanning a matrixed environment.
You will be diligent, outcome focused, and influential in building stories with complex data sets. Possess strong analytical capabilities and experience working with syndicated data providers such as Nielsen and IRI to optimally guide and institutionalize solution deployment. Capability development, standard methodology establishment, & continuing education are core elements of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in developing, evaluating, & implementing of tools that measure the KPIs to support customer initiatives.
- You will partner and prioritize, analyze, and draw data driven conclusions from a variety of data sources, including Nielsen/IRI, POS, and shopper/panel, digital shelf, market share, customer loyalty data etc. to identify trends and provide insights-based recommendations.
- Drive rich understanding of Walmart shopper to Kenvue partners while identifying category growth opportunities for our brands.
- Is responsible for the ongoing evaluation of current, new, and emerging data and analytical capabilities including annual contract negotiations and SOW in partnership with procurement and other cross-functional partners.
- You will also lead and develop people in the role that support our Walmart business as well have training, resources and collaborate on function wide training and development initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and/or Retail Industry experience including exposure to category management, Shopper Insights, retail, and eCommerce technologies is required
- Prior experience in people leadership and development is required
- Prior customer-facing experience (sales roles, category analytics, and/or sales analytics) is required with strong presentation skills for executive-level audience
- Prior experience with technology products Power BI, intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required
- Experience working with external vendors Nielsen, IRI, Profitero, Numerator, etc. is required
- Excellent business-facing communications and influencing skills are required
- Ability to inspire and mobilize, cross-functional team members to support and execute against ground-breaking initiatives
- Passion to challenge the status quo, find new solutions, and drive out of the box thinking is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior project management experience
- Experience in a consultancy role or supporting function role
- Degree ideally in Computer Science/Management Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Marketing, Economics, MBA, or similar preferred
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $113,000 to $195,500.
