Overview:
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to support the IT program at a major national laboratory.
Responsibilities:
- Provide end-user support with processes for managing and delivering services that are ITIL® conformant.
- Resolve incidents, service requests, and problems associated with service failures or degradations that are related to hardware and software computing devices (including mobile equipment).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years’ experience as a Linux and Windows Sys Admin doing activities such as installation, system integration, image development, patching, upgrades, complex problem resolution preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu
- In lieu of a degree, additional relevant experience may be applicable.
- U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q clearance.
- Exceptional technical and troubleshooting skills with computer hardware, operating systems, and productivity software.
- Experience scripting for administrative tasks (Python, Shell, Perl, etc.)
- Experience analyzing and developing systems in the context of changing technologies.
- Experience in VMware Esxi
- Strong interpersonal and documentation skills and the ability to work well individually and in a team environment.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines on a variety of activities.
- The ability to create dynamic solutions in undocumented or unforeseen situations.
- Willingness to learn and continually upgrade skills.
The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $108,000.
