 Job Summary

The Senior IT Project Manager drives the execution of Information Technology Process Improvement initiatives and IT focused projects from inception through implementation and closeout.

Primary Objectives

• Effective coordination of multiple projects and their interdependencies ensuring all assigned projects are completed according to PPMO standards, delivering agreed upon business value on time and on budget.

• Lead enhancement and development of PPMO standards and tools, as well as adherence and assessment to processes and policies.

• Mentor and train PPMO Project Managers and support other Project Managers across The Pasha Group.

• Support effective communication of the value of the PPMO to the organization and executive leadership through tracking and reporting on departmental objectives and key results.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage projects throughout all project stages in the areas of communication, schedule, budget, resources, scope, risk, and issues.

• Track milestones and tasks with assigned teams and ensure project milestones are achieved on time and on budget to the satisfaction of our business partners.

• Work with senior management and key stakeholders to define project scope, cost and value, and business case deliverables that support strategic goals.

• Develop and revise project plans, monitor and report out on project budgets and financial health, work with users to understand problems, focus on bringing issues to resolution, and escalate issues to the PPMO Director as necessary to meet timelines.

• Proactively manage change in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise mitigation actions and/or contingency plans.

• Manage business case creation and sign off including project cost and benefit estimation as well as required resources to achieve project goals. Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate resource requests if necessary during project implementation life cycle.

• Coach, mentor, and motivate project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

• Conduct project post-mortems with project team and other key stakeholders and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

• Support PPMO leadership in development and enhancement of enterprise standards and tools for project execution and management.

• Provide training and training recommendations for Project Managers to ensure that skills and body of knowledge remain up-to-date for the organization.

• Continuously reinforce value of project management with Business unit leaders prior to, during, and following project engagements.

• Track and publish project KPIs for use by the business process managers with the Business unit leaders in order to demonstrate project management value on individual projects.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Project Management or business management or equivalent combination of coursework and experience required

Licenses

• Project Management Professional Certification or other recognized certification or equivalent years of experience required

Work Experience

• 8+ years’ of project/program management experience, including delivering both IT enabled and business process improvement projects required

• Global transportation and logistics management experience preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Familiar with various project management methodologies: Waterfall, Agile, RUP, ADM.

• Demonstrated proficiency with project management tools (Clarizen, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Azure Dev Ops, Jira, TFS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective delivery of executive level reports and in-person presentations.

• Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team.

• Excellent communication and coalition building skills with an ability to balance, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to build strategic partnerships.

• Demonstrated skills in resource organization, project/task prioritization and schedule development.

• Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines; Ability to react to project adjustments promptly and efficiently.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks on highly visible projects with aggressive timelines.

• Ability to work a non-standard work schedule, including evenings and weekends.

The applicable salary range is aligned to one of 5 zones according to a cost of labor index for the geographic location of the role. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include related experience, education and training, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below. Ranges may be modified in the future.
Zone 1: $140,000 - $170,000

This job is also eligible for participation in an Incentive Plan with a target payout based on eligible compensation and corporate/individual performance goal attainment.
Annual Incentive Opportunity: 10% of eligible compensation
