Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all payroll functions ensuring accurate pay utilizing multiple pay types, overtime earnings, tips, commissions, and other earnings.
- Process garnishments and other payroll deductions including accurate tax withholdings.
- Resource for supervisors and managers relating to payroll, including time & attendance, scheduling, PTO/Sick/Vacation accruals and internal policies.
- Develop and Implement processes designed to increase the accuracy and efficiency of payroll data.
- Develop, prepare, and review various payroll reports.
- Assist the Manager and CFO with special projects and analysis.
- Handle unemployment claim inquiries and assist department with employee inquiries.
- Assist department with workload if needed in employee relations, benefits and workers comp.
- Assist with new course rollout of Human Resources and onboarding.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business, or commensurate experience.
- Minimum of three years payroll experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Experience utilizing payroll software, specifically ADP's Workforce Now, is a plus.
- Knowledge of multi-state Payroll, FLSA, withholding orders and garnishments.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accomplish tasks within established timelines.
