Job Title: Senior Human Resources Generalist

FLSA Status: Exempt

Hiring Salary Range:$81,300 - $98,600

(The hiring salary range is the budgeted salary that the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Full range is $81,300 - $117,800)

Reports to: Vice President, Human Resources

Location: Onsite. 100% Monday-Friday 8 hours/day*** (non-negotiable)

KULR Technology Location: Houston (Webster) Texas

Travel: Occasional travel (typically local within Webster area).

Position Overview:

The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as a dedicate resource for their assigned business unit for: recruiting, employee relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, diversity, and employee records. This position partners with specific business lines, advising regarding best practices for compliance with federal and state laws, and as a federal contractor. The Senior Human Resources Generalist frequently partners with the larger HR team.

Functions:

  • Full cycle recruiting. Write job descriptions, build rapport with hiring managers, conduct intake sessions, clarify business and needs for each role based on requirements. Provide hiring managers with weekly status updates.
  • Serve as recruiting consultant for hiring managers, modifying recruiting strategy timely.
  • Provide consistent, welcoming candidate care experience, from initial contact through offer.
  • Conduct pre-screen interviews based on job requirements and business needs.
  • Schedule interviews for hiring managers, disposition candidates, conduct written offers.
  • Provide standardized recruitment tools hiring managers and train them on ATS as needed.
  • Leverage best practices for fair and equitable hiring, given federal and state laws, in support of Equal Employment Opportunity Employment and Affirmative Action.
  • Recommend, plan, and lead outreach activities including but not limited to job fairs.
  • Front-line point of contact for Houston HR needs. Escalate as needed.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and advisor on federal and state law and company policies.
  • Employee relations intake, investigations and escalation as needed.
  • Coordinate separations of all types for Houston staff.
  • Worker’s Compensation claims and OSHA reporting for Houston facility.
  • HR consultant and liaison for Safety Committee.
  • Manage new hires documentation, new hire orientation for seamless onboarding experience.
  • Conduct reference and background checks.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and events as needed.
  • Service credit and milestone recognition tracking, coordination, and communications.
  • Write job descriptions as aligned to classification structure across business units as needed.
  • May support leaves management and tracking.
  • Provide metrics to HR leadership on a regular basis.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, as well as applicable federal contractor requirements (laws, regulations, guidelines).
  • Provide training and guidance to management and employees on compliance-related matters.
  • Conduct regular audits to assess compliance levels in recruiting practices.
  • Assist with EEO, OFCCP and AAP reporting. Generate and execute outreach activities.
  • Serve as backup to Human Resources Manager (support for multi-state employees, including California).
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR (Senior PHR). PHR-CA or SPHR-CA a plus.
  • 4-7 years’ experience working as a Human Resources Generalist managing full spectrum of personnel actions across all areas of HR.
  • 3 years’ experience minimum working in an HR Generalist capacity for a federal contractor.
  • 4-7 years’ experience applying federal and state employment law to diverse situations.
  • 4-7 years broad employee relations experience (managing cases start to finish).
  • Experience driving full-cycle recruitment for a federal contractor. Aerospace or defense preferred. Experience with engineering roles (mechanical, electrical) preferred.

  • Strong demonstrated knowledge all functional areas of HR (recruiting, employee relations, risk management, compensation, classification, benefits, training, performance management, etc.)
  • Strong ability to guide leaders through a variety of complex, challenging situations with diplomacy.
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of federal contractor compliance as related to all areas of human resources.
  • Strong ability to create and adjust recruitment strategies to attract critical talent.
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of Applicant Tracking System and HRIS/HCM.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others, build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to accomplish business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to assume personal accountability, exhibit honesty and respect towards others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, assess business needs and use problem solving skills to address challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve and actively contribute as an active team member on immediate team and larger organization. Ability to support the team without necessarily taking the lead.
  • Ability to understand and analyze underlying organizational issues.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to build effective relationships to achieve business results.
  • Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community.

  • Intermediate use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.

Office Work Environment
