The Senior Director/Team Lead will lead the Trade Retail Pharmacy AD team and report to the VP, Channel Management in US Market Access (USMA). The Senior Director/TL will lead a team of National Account Directors with responsibility for the Retail Pharmacy customer channel.Responsibilities include leading the enterprise relationship for Pfizer with national and regional pharmacy chains, independent retail and retail buying groups and ensuring retail customer objectives are delivered in accordance with CM and USMA plans. The individual should possess a combination of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, contract negotiation and project management skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities to help the franchise achieve our patient impact and revenue targets.
This role requires a seasoned, organized colleague with deep experience relevant to the customer space.The ideal candidate possesses a track record of high level achievement and can effectively communicate across stakeholders, work well with ambiguity to navigate the organization effectively and compliantly to deliver results within the customer channel in accordance with Channel Management and USMA deliverables.
RESPONSABILITIES
Maximize 'One Pfizer' approach in accordance with Customer preference
Execute retail pharmacy contract strategy by developing and maintaining relationships as well as negotiating and monitoring the performance of contracts with national, regional pharmacy chains and retail buying groups as required.
Ensure timelines are met for all customers in scope for retail vaccines or other retail contracts. Regularly collaborate and inform Lead of progress and challenges with meeting expected account contract deliverables.
Lead Retail AD team in development and up to date management of Account Enterprise Plans and Executive leader briefings as needed for Executive Leadership Team (ELT) customer engagements
Leverage key learnings across the retail pharmacy channel to optimize customer capabilities and anticipated needs of channel partners
Share insights and strategy recommendations with Channel Lead and appropriate USMA and other Business Unit (BU) colleagues to ensure customer insights are incorporated into retail pharmacy strategies and deployed tactics
Ensure consistent communication and alignment within Channel Team and between Wholesaler and Retail Pharmacy strategies for effective delivery and execution of programs and contracts that cross both customer channels.
Drive business growth, engage customers, lead people and lead organizational change
Define and implement the right policies, processes, measures, and objectives to effectively position the role for success
Leads team, developing their skills and capabilities via coaching and performance management to ensure a high level of account management expertise, contract negotiation excellence and credibility, creating an optimal customer experience
Lead a team of colleagues responsible for optimizing mutually beneficial B2B interactions, proactively strategizing with internal stakeholders as it relates to market trends and opportunities.
Work to continually improve the level of interaction provided by the team, recommending enhancements to materials, technology, approach, or process.
Identify and share best practices across the team that enhance retail pharmacy stakeholder knowledge and awareness of Pfizer products and resources
Builds strong team culture, colleague engagement, and morale
Promotes a feedback culture and continuous improvement mindset in the team to assess the quality of customer experience (e.g., uses virtual pulse surveys, customer feedback)
Sets team goals and holds team members accountable
Ensure team members are collaborating effectively across commercial and non-commercial colleague organizations to meet retail pharmacy stakeholder needs
Where needed, help to identify the correct SME and facilitate engagement across the enterprise to address stakeholder deliverables and requests
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to achieve targeted business and contracting objectives for assigned customers across USMA and BU groups
Stay current and strategically align with the changing healthcare environment specifically impacting the retail pharmacy channel
Adhere to and model all Pfizer Values and Compliance principles
This position has direct reports with accountability for collaborative matrix leadership with respect to retail pharmacy channel accounts and must always exhibit compliant and high integrity behaviors with team.

Bachelor degree minimum required
15 years of successful experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or with Retail pharmacy
Experience in developing mutually beneficial customer relationships with C-Suite and VP level customers
Experience with large customers and demonstrated track record of assessing account needs and bringing relevant cross-functional appropriate resources to drive performance.
Ability and proven success working in ambiguous environments to drive results
Direct people management experience required
Advanced negotiation experience and contracting experience required
Adept at creating a vision for the future and working to create pathways to achieve that vision
Demonstrated track record of strong business acumen, problem solving, strategic thinking, and project management skills, as well as excellent planning and prioritization skills
Track record of strong leadership in managing change and performance
Demonstrated business acumen
Ability to respond effectively to multiple priorities and tight timelines; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Deep understanding of business/general management of retail pharmacy customers and customer needs. Significant experience with a broad and varied set of customer dynamics, environments, and complex strategies.

Track record of success in developing strategies which drive business performance
Demonstrated strong strategic and analytical skills

Functional/Technical Skills and proficiency in Excel for analyzing and interpreting sales data and Powerpoint for development of communications as needed
Ability to travel based on business requirements, to include Customer meetings, Association meetings and internal Pfizer meetings

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $226,200.00 to $377,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
