JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for managing the efficient operation of the men’s football office, including team travel; liaison with department support services; assisting in the management of all aspects of Football camps and clinics; overseeing gameday activities; and at the direction of Football coaching staff, assist with the coordination of recruit visits. Must adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, Atlantic Coast Conference, and the NCAA. Supervised by men’s head football coach.
QUALIFICATIONS
A master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Business background and collegiate football experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Ability to manage, evaluate and direct activities of various employees at varying levels.
- Must possess ability to work extended hours, meet project deadlines and work under time constraint pressures.
- Excellent management and organizational skills and knowledge of computer software.
- Strong familiarity with, understanding of, and practical experience with major issues concerning student-athlete welfare and conduct, academic enhancement and performance, and role of and relationship between intercollegiate athletics and higher education.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to successfully interact with diverse individuals from both University and community related constituencies for maximizing University and departmental goals, objectives, relationships and representation.
- Established history of quality relationships with staff, coaches, student-athletes, parents, donors, and University faculty and staff preferred

Responsibilities:
- Administrative duties and projects as assigned by Head Coach and Deputy Athletic Director. Such duties include liaison with officials, including compiling and reporting ratings. Responsible for overseeing practice operations, including practice scheduling and manager coordination. Act as liasison between football staff. Assists with the coordination of all paperwork for incoming student-athletes, including admissions, housing, financial aid, eligibility and clearinghouse data. Maintain thorough understanding of NCAA, ACC, and University rules and regulations.
- Manage all aspects of team travel, including arranging flights (manifests), buses, hotel accommodations, developing itineraries and schedules, per diem, and making alternate arrangements when unexpected situations arise. Assists Deputy AD with post-season coordination, planning and managing team/staff travel for the event.
- Coordinate maintenence and cleaning for team and training facilities.
- Serves as liaison with department’s marketing, media relations, fund-raising, ticket office, training room staff, Dome staff and Facilities Director.
- Assist with planning and organizing Football events including Bowl game, Spring game, All Star game, walk on try outs, Banquet, Pro Day and coaching clinics.
- At the direction of the football coaching staff, coordinates recruiting visits, including schedules, hotel and meal arrangements.
- Direct all aspects of Football camps, clinics, and team self-improvement program.
