Position Title:Senior Director, Creative Production & Planning

Reports to:  Global Creative Director  

Job Location:  New York City, NY

Overview:  As the Senior Director, Creative Production & Planning for SharkNinja, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring a diverse team of creatives across various regions to develop innovative and effective marketing campaigns, branding strategies, and design concepts that align with the company's Outrageously Extraordinary mindset and resonate with the target audience on a global scale.

The Senior Director, Creative Production & Planning is a senior leadership role in our New York City office that will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process and strategic planning of creative projects. This position requires a blend of creative vision, project management expertise, and operational proficiency to ensure the successful execution of creative initiatives on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for Creative Production, in alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define project scopes, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Conduct regular assessments of market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform creative strategy and planning.

Creative Production Management:

  • Oversee the end-to-end production process for all creative projects in the New York City office, from concept development to final delivery.
  • Manage a team of creative professionals, including designers, producers, copywriters, and multimedia specialists, ensuring alignment with project goals and deadlines.
  • Establish and maintain production workflows, standards, and quality control measures to optimize efficiency and output consistency.

Resource Allocation and Budget Management:

  • Closely partner with Marketing Operations and FP&A to align on budget and spend
  • Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and external vendors, to support the timely and cost-effective execution of creative projects.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial targets and reporting requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and resource optimization to enhance production efficiency and profitability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, product development, sales, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment of creative initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison between creative teams and other departments, facilitating communication, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts as needed.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of Creative Production efforts.
  • Monitor project performance against established goals, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms and post-mortem reviews to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in production processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred and 10+_
  • Proven track record of success in a senior leadership role overseeing Creative Production and planning, ideally within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from conception to completion.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities to drive informed decision-making and overcome challenges.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, creative software applications, and production technologies.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in Creative Production and planning.
