About the team:
Enterprise Data Analytics team provides a robust, scalable, secure and compliant cloud data platform with capabilities including ingestion, orchestration, large scale data processing, analytics, machine learning engineering, and BI among others. Enterprise Data Analytics helps to maintain and advance cloud data platforms and services to build data products powering our various lines of businesses and customers.

About the role:
Experienced Snowflake Cloud Data Platform Administrator, who will plan, design, develop and implement Snowflake cloud data platform capabilities that follows industry best practices. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical prowess, strategic thinking, and a collaborative spirit to drive our data platform infrastructure forward while ensuring its reliability, security, and

compliance with industry standards.

What you will be doing:

  • Work in a globally distributed team to provide robust enterprise data platform in Snowflake
  • Serve as a Snowflake Architect, playing a pivotal role in designing and implementing solutions that address both operational and strategic needs of the enterprise.
  • Actively contribute to the expansion of platform capabilities by understanding and interpreting evolving business needs, ensuring the
  • Snowflake environment remains aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement, facilitating the development and integration of new features and functionalities into the Snowflake data platform to support growth and adaptability.
  • Design, optimize, and document the operational aspects of the Snowflake cloud data platform, including aspects such as cost monitoring and optimizations, user security auditing, and overall platform configuration.
  • Spearhead the automation of infrastructure provisioning and user account setup within the Snowflake environment, leveraging Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies to streamline processes and reduce manual overhead
  • Develop a Snowflake utilization and capacity plan to guide efficient resource allocation and scaling decisions.
  • Identify system bottlenecks and recommend solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Implement data encryption, decryption, and masking policies to protect sensitive information such as PII/PCI data, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Administer Snowflake on AWS, focusing on configuration, data migration, and security to safeguard the data platform.
  • Troubleshoot problems across infrastructure, platform, and application domains, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Stay informed about best practices, standards, and new feature releases related to Snowflake design and architecture, sharing knowledge and updates with the team.
  • Develop and suggest innovative solutions leveraging Snowflake's new features and latest industry trends, enhancing the development team's capabilities and the platform's overall performance.
  • Lead efforts to improve the onboarding experience for users, teams, and data products onto the Snowflake platform. Develop and implement structured onboarding processes and documentation, making it easier for new users and teams to get started and for new data products to be seamlessly integrated into the platform

What you bring:

Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of work experience (or) Master's Degree
and 3+ years of work experience in Computer Science, Information
Systems, or another related field.

  • Related experience in Snowflake administration
  • Database administration and data engineering
  • Experience using AWS services
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Python,SQL and DBT
  • Snowflake Pro certification
  • Deep knowledge of all Snowflake features, with a particular emphasis on advanced security measures (Data Masking, TriSecret Secure), data sharing, and application development. This includes a robust understanding of Snowflake's operational intricacies such as resource monitoring, RBAC, query performance tuning, and efficient data management practices.
  • Hands-on experience managing Snowflake and integrations within the AWS environment
  • Your background should include extensive work with relational databases, data warehouses, and data marts. Proficiency in the design and architecture of databases, data warehouses, and data lakes is expected.
  • Solid grasp of various security frameworks and protocols (e.g., SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OpenID, Kerberos), alongside knowledge of cloud security best practices (encryption, key management), is essential for safeguarding our data infrastructure.
  • Experience in developing monitoring architectures and implementing solutions, including dashboards, alerts, and health checks, is key to maintaining the health and performance of our systems.
  • You should have strong coding skills in Python and Snowflake SQL, familiarity with DBT, and a strong foundation in database design and modeling principles.
  • Experience with containerizing applications and deploying containers using docker and Jenkins.
  • A proven track record in Agile and DevOps practices is important for fostering continuous improvement and collaboration within our team.
  • Demonstrated experience leading data architecture projects, guiding database migrations, enhancing data security, and optimizing performance is critical.
  • Adept at integrating various data sources and ensuring the scalability and efficiency of data models.
  • Effective communication skills are vital for interacting with a diverse range of team members and stakeholders, conveying complex technical concepts in an understandable manner.
  • A commitment to ongoing education to remain current on Snowflake updates and enhancements, establishing yourself as a subject matter expert within the team.
  • Experience in Snowflake design and architecture, database administration, and data engineering is required. This should include working on large-scale, data-intensive distributed systems

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $103, $173,060.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
