As the Senior Business Analyst, your role is to act as a relationship partner to the business units to facilitate functional and non-functional requirements of the services we select, and build, to address the business needs and deliver value.
The Business Analyst works in a cross functional environment to build consensus on technology decisions that balance the need for fast delivery with long-term goals and operational excellence to collectively drive improvement of the customer experience.
This role is part of ERP team and requires knowledge of the wide spectrum of Business software from Sales, Inventory control, Distribution and Finance. You should have a strong multi-disciplinary Sales, Inventory, Finance background.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consults with business leaders and IT business representatives to ensure understanding of requirements and their alignment to future strategic direction of the business/function
- Creation of documentation of requirements, use cases, and customer demands
- Collaborates with application developers, designers, and architects to ensure a shared understanding of the business model and the detailed requirements
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Business and IT partners.
- Act as a liaison for the technology team to ensure consensus across stakeholders.
- Understand the business and related IT platforms.
- Collaborate with other cross-functional teams from all domains throughout the life cycle of solution delivery.
- Lead medium to large departmental and enterprise-wide projects to support departmental initiatives.
- Comfortable facilitating discovery sessions to gain insights into end user and customer needs.
- Respond proactively to both business and project issues and escalate appropriately.
- Act on behalf of the business partner as a subject matter expert to ensure product/service performance supports business process needs.
- Stay up to date on the trends, processes and IT advancements to automate, modernize and optimize systems.
- Drive innovation with customers, peers and vendors to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Familiarity with basic JD Edwards architecture, development processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Skills, Experience, and Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT or relevant work experience, with minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst.
- 3-5 years of experience in relationship building and fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Strong experience with JD Edwards - Sales, Inventory, Distribution & Finance modules.
- Experience with SQL queries.
- Ability to organize and present material and topics to a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Possess a strong sense of ownership for achieving results.
- Passionate and inquisitive approach to the technology driven world.
- Out of the box thinker that enjoys working collaboratively with others on solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Agile and other system development lifecycle and methodologies.
- Experience with warehouse management and routing software a plus.
- Experience in using JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.2.
- Knowledge and experience with full system implementation or upgrade a plus.
- Project management skills
Salary Range: $98,290(Min), $125,210(Mid), $152,131(Max)
