Position Overview:
As a member of the Application Support team supporting the Government Solutions organization, the Senior Application Support Analyst (ASA) will contribute to Verra Mobility's success by providing advanced Application Support capability for business software applications and interfaces. You will effectively leverage critical thinking and advanced analysis techniques, employ innovative troubleshooting methodologies, create and deliver actionable metrics while taking ownership and proactively driving requests, issues, disruptions, and assignments through to a timely, well communicated, and professionally documented resolution. To be successful in this role, you must display robust interpersonal skills, have a high aptitude for technical learning, be approachable and willing to engage quickly, multi-task efficiently, demonstrate discipline and initiative to consistently solve complex problems in a fluid, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of composure, transparency, and professionalism during daily interaction with peers, customers, management, and external partners.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues with applications, databases, interfaces, and reports
- Identify, test, validate, research, and action workarounds and defect management
- Provide timely resolution of tickets and alerts per agreed-upon SLA
- Collaborate with internal teams to fully document complex business problems and solutions
- Determine the root cause of incidents and make recommendations for prevention in the future
- Train peers on lessons learned and processes/procedures when utilizing business systems
- Lead debugging sessions, working with other departments form internal and external sources
- Review existing support processes for effectiveness; recommend and drive improvements
- Collaborate with software teams to prioritize known defects and intermediate workarounds
- Support production software releases
- Accessing registered owner and vehicle information
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of working experience with scripting capabilities in support of an Oracle PL/SQL environment support
- Ability to provide thought leadership and implementation of workarounds and solutions
- Experience supporting the workflow of applications and data integration (FTP/SFTP, API, REST)
- Basic understanding of Crystal Reports or other reporting software
- Ability to perform, document, and communicate outcomes of root cause analysis
- Working knowledge of analytical tools and methodologies for critical thinking and problem solving
- Ability to quickly understand relevance of data to business needs and processes
- Experience supporting Microsoft technology stack (C#, ASP.NET, HTML5, etc.)
- Working familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools and methodologies
- Basic understanding of ITIL framework and industry-standard processes
- Ability to participate in shared on-call rotation duties
- Successful completion of the NLETS fingerprinting background assessment
