Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, budget preparation, and performing monthly close processes. The Senior Accountant will also be assisting the Accounting Manager as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.

Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, budget preparation, and performing monthly close processes. The Senior Accountant will also be assisting the Accounting Manager as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations
- Maintain the general ledger
- Code invoices, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close the monthly books.
- Identify and research variances within monthly financial statements.
- Maintain fixed asset files.
- Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
- Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manage accounts receivable collections.
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and document to perform annual audit.
- Coordinate with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems; recommend updates to enhance the accounting software.
- Process Accounts Payable and applicable check runs/disbursements
- Back up for A/R
- Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
- Responsible for all other tasks/duties as assigned or necessary to successfully meet the goals and mission of the organization.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, Office 365, Outlook, and Teams
