Job Description: The Accounting Department at Memorial Sloan Kettering is seeking an Senior Accountant to join our team. We pride ourselves on prioritizing learning and development, and fostering financial stewardship for the institution. Join us today and help make a difference every day!
You will:
- Prepare complex monthly account analysis which includes maintaining and developing estimates.
- Assist in intercorporate and allocation processes.
- Mentoring and teaching staff.
- Assist in identifying, interpreting and explaining budget vs. actual variances.
- Develop, maintain and distribute as-hoc reports and financial models as needed
- Prepare financial information to be provided to the external auditors and other regulatory agencies.
- Act as a liaison to operational areas.
You are:
- Eager to accept new opportunities and tough challenges with high energy and passion.
- Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively to meet shared objectives and goals.
- Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.
You have:
- 4-7 years of experience in accounting
- Accounting experience specifically with financial reporting and reconciling account discrepancies
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially in excel; experience with accounting software application a plus
