Job DescriptionAs our Financial Analysis and Reporting Manager, you'll play a crucial role in steering the financial health of our Clients. You'll be at the heart of supporting their financial operations.
You will make impactful recommendations so they can make better business decisions based on your analysis.
TLDR: You will link operations with accounting to inform management decisions, guide compliance and risk management, and help our Clients grow.
During onboarding, you will:
- Review financials for accuracy with a focus on the Balance Sheet
- Conduct Balance Sheet and AP & AR reconciliations
- Ensure investor/owner equity is properly represented on the Balance Sheet
- Review payroll accruals & liabilities
- Review inventory & COGS
- Allocate overhead and other expenses
- Create budgets and forecasts
- Build management reporting packages using Fathom
Working closely with the business owner, you may also create a custom P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecast and analyze the impact of special projects, major purchases, new hires, etc., and help determine and analyze Key Performance Indicators (both financial and non-financial) comparing them to industry standards to determine areas of focus for improved performance and cash flow.
Once established, you will consult monthly on financial operations, budget/forecast vs. actual analysis, cash flow review, KPI and financial flux analysis, financial trend Analysis and interpretation, and compliance and risk analysis.
You may also provide guidance on:
- Compliance regarding tax and other regulatory issues (knowing when to refer to CPA, HR, or Legal for additional guidance)
- Forecasting the financial impact of various scenarios - i.e., timing and expense of hiring an employee, purchasing an asset, or engaging in certain financing activities
- Identifying Revenue & Cost Drivers
- Inventory Demand Forecasting

Experience working in an outsourced bookkeeping or accounting services company, juggling competing priorities for multiple clients is required.
