Why This Role Is Valuable
The Associate, Business Intelligence- Insurance and Alternative Solutions is within Revantage’s Insurance and Alternative Solutions group with a specific focus for the Revantage claims team which provides oversight and governance, directly manages complex claims, establishes settlement strategies, and serves as the liaison between Blackstone’s portfolio companies, TPAs, Insurers, Brokers and Revantage.
The role of an Associate, Business Intelligence- Insurance and Alternative Solutions is focused on the synthesis and review of information from multiple stakeholders. The Associate assists in automated solutions that streamline and optimize claims handling processes. This role has exposure to the insurance, real estate, and financial sectors, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the industry landscape. The primary deliverables of the Associate include the creation and management of key reporting and automation solutions, enabling efficient decision-making by a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. With a high degree of exposure to technology, the associate leverages tools like Origami, Power BI, Tableau, and Snowflake to deliver insightful dashboards, automate claim reporting, and develop efficient workflows. This technical expertise ensures that the Associate plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and delivering valuable insights for all stakeholders involved. This position is based out of Revantage’s headquarters in Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX.
How You Add Value
- Provide technical support for the claims management system Origami, ensuring its smooth operation and functionality.
- Engage in coding to enhance and optimize database efficiency.
- Analyze data related to multiple lines of commercial coverage and policyholders' claims to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Develop and implement automated claim reporting processes to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Design and create interactive dashboards using Power BI and Tableau to visualize and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
- Utilize Snowflake data warehouse to store and retrieve relevant data for analysis and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including claims adjusters, underwriters, and managers, to understand their data needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Develop and maintain workflows, processes, and procedures for efficient claims handling, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and company policies.
- Aggregate real-time catastrophe data for reporting of major events to Revantage and Blackstone senior leadership
- Generate communication to portfolio companies on disaster response efforts.
- Maintain Emergency Response Vendor list by asset and assist & train portfolio companies on vendor roll outs and servicing.
What You Bring To The Role
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Accounting, (Computational/Quantitative) Finance, Economics or related field required
- Minimum 4 years of insurance, consulting, accounting, or professional services experience.
- Demonstrable and current in-depth knowledge and understanding of the real estate.
- Proficiency in working with the claims management system Origami, providing technical support and troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze large datasets, identify trends, patterns, and outliers.
- Experience in developing and implementing automated claim reporting processes using tools like Python, SQL, or other scripting languages.
- Expertise in creating visually appealing and informative dashboards using Power BI and Tableau.
- Familiarity with Snowflake data warehouse and its functionalities for data storage, retrieval, and manipulation.
- First-class interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and understand their data needs while including relationship building and maintenance.
- Knowledge of insurance industry practices, regulations, and policies related to claims handling.
- Attention to detail and ability to create and maintain workflows, processes, and procedures.
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication (verbal & written), numerical, presentation & organizational skills.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where superior time-management and prioritization skills are essential.
