Wilson Elser’s New York City office seeks a Senior Tax Accountant.

The Position
Qualifications
•CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting preferred
•Experience in a CPA Firm with 2+ years working primarily on business tax returns
•Understanding of Partnership tax accounting and Form 1065
•Experience working with partnerships with tax presence in many states
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
•Prepare property tax returns as required for the Firm’s various offices
•Prepare local revenue, Unincorporated Business Tax, sales/use and commercial rent tax filings
•Prepare all annual US Commerce required survey filings
•Coordinate the annual partner participation in composite tax filings
•Prepare the Firm’s annual M-1 book-to- tax reconciliation
•Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of Firm 1099 Forms
•Deliver K-1 forms to partners promptly, and respond to inquiries from partners in a timely manner
•Gather records and work with CPA on any tax examinations and audits

The annualized salary range for this position is $130,000+.Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
