· Under the supervision of the Director of Accounting and administration the Senior Accountant will manage the Crystal Mover Services, Inc.’s (CMSI) general accounting and the other functions including assisting to prepare tax returns in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, laws, regulations, and company policies.
Essential Functions:
· Support to project cash flow, to prepare budgets and to monitor the financial condition of the company Support to maintain general and subsidiary ledgers.
· Manage the accounts payable function for the organization. Verify accuracy of invoices, assign correct GL codes, and pay on time to avoid any past due amounts.
· Respond to inquiries from outside accounting firms, site personnel, corporate staff or parent company’s employees regarding accounting policies, procedures, or activities. Communicate with banks and financial institutions to represent the organization’s interests on day-to-day issues.
· Assist with financial statement and other audits.
· Review the daily bank activity reports. Monitor and confirm daily deposits and transactions.
· Plan for opening new accounts and long-term deposits. Reconcile bank statements and general corresponding reports.
· Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records, reports and special analyses relating to accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank activities, fixed asset management, and purchase order tracking.
· Review and analyze the monthly financial activities of the sites. Report to management on variances in activities, revenues, or expenses.
· Collect branch data and combine to generate organization-wide financial statements and forecasts for the management.
· Support the sites’ s budget management. Report on variances or changes. Make recommendations for the coming year’s budgetary needs and submit to management for consideration.
· Allocate pro-rated share of corporate overhead and interest expenses to individual sites.
· Help in preparation of monthly financial statements and submit to management for review.
· Reconcile system financial data with taxable income.
· Prepare supporting documentation for Federal and state tax returns and submit it to the accounting firm.
· Review invoices to verify sales/use tax calculations. Prepare monthly sales and use tax returns for all states in which CMS has locations.
· Maintain files on all accounts receivable and update records as required.
· Assist in the management of monthly journals, update entries and maintain sub ledger for fixed assets.
· Support bank reconciliation and define processes to ensure accuracy.
· Organize customer contracts and communicate with management and customers of past due accounts.
· Assist managers with reconciling petty cash accounts.
· Coordinate with management and recommend improvement in quality of accounting and provide operational support.
· Manage outsourced and intercompany shared services for AP, AR, and GL
Other duties may include:
· Work with all CMSI departments and airport government authorities in ensuring the completion of documents, reports, and requests for information.
· Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition.
· Participate in variety of meetings and work groups to communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments/requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Tools and Equipment used:
· Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications, tools, and usual office equipment.
Knowledge/License:
· Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
· Experience with SAP S4 HANA preferred.
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written in Japanese and English required.
· Excellent organizational skills required.
· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience.
Education:
· A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related areas and a minimum of six years related work experience.
· CPA designation preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
