The Staff Accountant is responsible for month-end closing procedures, balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and analyzing financial data.
This position will be performed from the corporate office in Chantilly, VA five days/week.

- Prepare monthly general ledger journal entries.
- Perform month-end review of operating unit financial statements.
- Prepare various monthly account reconciliations.
- Prepare month-end financial and operational reports.
- Assist with the quarter-end and year-end financial close and reporting process.
- Assist with preparation of information for the year-end tax package.
- Assist other corporate and field departments with general ledger and financial reporting questions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 1+ years of experience in accounting or related field (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
- Willing to establish and maintain effective working relationships
