OVERVIEW:
At Dealers United, we help automotive dealers and dealer groups sell more cars with full service digital solutions, including SEO, SEM, and Social Advertising.
The SEM specialist will be responsible for developing, optimizing, maintaining, and communicating a customized paid search strategy for our clients. They will also be responsible for media buying across SEM platforms. They will work to understand the customers’ goals and bring these goals to life in a timely manner. Delivering best-in-class, “WOW” customer service is always a priority at Dealers United. You will report directly to the Head of SEM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing, optimizing, and maintaining paid search campaigns for clients, including:
- Understand how to plan search, conduct research, forecasting and formulate budget recommendations
- Build new keywords, ad copy, and bulk sheet uploads for new campaign setup
- Establish bid strategies
- Strong knowledge of GA4 - creating new GA4 accounts, tracking, reporting, audience strategy, gather insights
- Independently monitor budget pacing and performance
- Propose and implement optimizations that align with SEM best practices to improve performance against predetermined benchmarks on an ongoing basis
- Develop and execute tests across campaign variables that create client-specific insight and feed future testing
- Quality assurance - check correct implementation of uploads
- Understanding client goals and how to maximize those measures of success through tactical strategies and optimizations
- Professional and effective communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Prepare & analyze reports on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly & ad-hoc basis that produce actionable insights for implementation
- Good understanding of performance metrics to pinpoint trends, identify key data points and optimize opportunity
- Ability to analyze large data sets to understand performance trends to inform optimization decisions
- Present report findings/recommendations to internal teams/clients
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Document the progress of tasks and keep supervisor informed
IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in SEM
- Expert with tools such as Google & Bing Ads / Advanced search certifications
- Strong expertise with GA4, i.e analyzing reports, setting up events
- Ability to analyze data & have problem-solving mindset
- Understanding of paid search best practices and optimization levers
- Fluency in Excel - Formula, graphs, shortcuts
- Strong understanding of media metrics and relationship with each other

COMPENSATION:
- The compensation structure for this position is a salaried position and is eligible for bonuses and/or incentive pay.
