Our client is a B2B manufacturer of outdoor products. The SEM Specialist will be responsible for strategizing, executing, managing, analyzing and reporting on a range of digital marketing campaigns and projects involving PPC, SEO and Remarketing.
Job Type: Permanent / Direct Hire
Location: Naperville area (3 days in office /2 days remote)
Salary: Competitive base

Required Experience:
- 1+ years of professional experience managing PPC campaigns either in an agency or in-house setting.
- Managing a very generous paid ad budget (in the multi millions is ideal)
- Understanding of Google and Microsoft Ads.
- Proficient in using Google Ads, MS Ads, GA4 and Excel.
- Experience or knowledge of how to launch and execute PPC campaigns is critical.
- Knowing the levers to pull to see if things aren’t going in the right direction with PPC campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Help strategize and execute PPC, display, and potentially social media marketing campaigns for four brands.
- Ensure PPC strategies and campaigns align with the company goals.
- Build and manage PPC campaigns in Google AdWords and MS Advertising that target buyers in the B2B markets and industries.
- Manage additional PPC platforms to implement in the future such as YouTube, LinkedIn Facebook, etc.
- Manage PPC bids and spend to the approved annual budget.
- Continually analyze all PPC campaigns ensuring goals are being met, learnings are being reported and testing opportunities are identified.
- Provide recommendations for optimizations including those that pertain to ad copy, ad assets, landing pages, keywords, campaign structure, ad groups, bidding strategies, targeting and audiences.
- Perform keyword research and analysis as needed to support marketing initiatives such as product development and content creation.
- Analyze website data from GA4; transform learnings from data into actionable plans.
- Conduct weekly/month reporting and communication on the status of campaigns, competition, new initiatives, budget pacing, and performance results.
- Prepare SEO site audits detailing on-site, off-site, technical, and content optimizations needed that adhere to SEO best practices.
- Maintain and manage Google shopping feeds in the Google Merchant Center.
- Monitor core competitors for changes in strategies, pricing, and ad messaging.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
- Success managing various types of PPC campaigns including search ads, shopping ads, remarketing, Pmax campaigns, and display ads. (YouTube ads is a plus)
- Experience strategizing PPC campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing, PPC and SEO fundamentals.
- Knowledge of digital marketing platforms such as Google AdWords, MS Advertising, Google Merchant Center, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz and SEMrush.
- Ability to update conversion tracking tags in Google Tag Manager.
- Proficient in MS Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and experience designing digital marketing reports; communicate results and trends concisely to stakeholders.
- Experience with A/B and multivariant testing experiments.
- Google AdWords and Google Analytics certification is a pus, but not required.
- Able to work independently and clearly communicate, be self-managed and collaborate with other departments, leadership, team members, partners and other partners.
