SEM Manager, Growth Marketing 
Location: Austin, TX, United States, (Hybrid, 3 days/week in office)

Job Overview:
Furnished Finder is seeking a talented and experienced SEM Manager, Growth Marketing to join our dynamic marketing team and work alongside some of the industry's best. Our marketing leadership team has held executive roles at top companies in the industry and deployed billions of dollars of marketing campaigns reaching millions of customers.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and optimizing search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns across various platforms to drive qualified traffic, increase conversions, and maximize ROI. Travel, real estate or E-commerce industry experience is a plus.
In this role, we need someone who is comfortable scaling from 0 to 1, is resourceful and a creative problem solver. At your core, you believe in a customer-first approach to creating campaigns and your north star is helping customers succeed. You thrive on details and want to learn and evolve our marketplace strategy serving landlords and tenants. This role reports to the Growth Marketing Director.
Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive SEM strategies aligned with company goals, industry best practices and the requirements of our unique marketplace serving landlords and tenants. Conduct keyword research, develop competitive analyses and monitor industry trends to stay informed about best practices, emerging technologies, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Hands-on Campaign Management and Conversion Optimization: Create, manage, and optimize campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and other paid marketing channels as required by strategy (e.g., social advertising, programmatic advertising). Conduct A/B testing of ad variations, landing pages, bid optimizations, and targeting strategies to improve performance. Operate and manage campaigns directly in platform. 
  • Accountability for Financial and Operating Results: Track, manage and optimize $500,000+ per month budget spanning multiple platforms and potentially multiple web domains. Make budget decisions on an account, campaign and ad group or targeting level based on performance trends and outcomes from testing.
  • Reporting, Data Analysis and Insights: In partnership with our data team, define and develop dashboards and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress towards goals.  Continuously refine keyword lists based on performance data and market trends, and recognize the unique interplay and opportunities for leverage between SEM and SEO. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data, customer marketing, design, product, and finance to align SEM efforts with overall marketing strategy. Prepare and present detailed performance reports with actionable insights to leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Analytics or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in managing SEM campaigns, preferably in an in-house setting. Proven experience managing SEM campaigns with budgets exceeding $500,000 per month (Marketplace experienced preferred. Travel, Real Estate or E-commerce industry experience a plus).
  • Expertise in Google Ads (including Search, Display, and Shopping campaigns) and Bing Ads and proficiency in related paid media platforms (social advertising, programmatic advertising).
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling ad copy and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous optimization and performance improvement.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, proficiency in SQL is a plus.
  • Ability to use third-party analytics tools including Google Analytics, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and other related software/tools.
  • Knowledge of current, past, and projected trends in the digital marketing industry.
  • Experience with different bidding models and testing methodologies. Experience with developing bidding models a plus.
