Job Description: Business Development Associate
Company Overview:
Our Client is a rapidly growing US-based company providing financial, bookkeeping, payroll, tax,
investment, business management and consulting services to individuals, partnerships, companies,
non-profit organizations, and other business entities primarily in the US. Their joint servicing teams
working out of the US and India ensure our clients have the best financial, tax and accounting support.
They have two flagship brands: (a) One provides US Income Tax Returns services, and (b)
Another provides Bookkeeping and Accounting services.
Compensation Range:$100,000 - $150,000
Position Summary:
Join our Client's dynamic team as a Business Development Manager and help drive our sales to unlock the next level of growth. We need a smooth-talking sales professional who understands what we do (sell our founders peace of mind about their books) and can build a rapport with some of the most innovative minds in the world (founders of path-breaking technology companies).
Key Responsibilities:
Qualify leads and identify potential sales opportunities: Ask probing questions to understand our inbound customer needs and pain points, and assess their fit for our services.
Nurture leads through the sales funnel, building relationships and trust: This may involve sending follow-up emails, guiding them on upcoming compliance issues to demonstrate value, and answering any additional questions they may have.
Work collaboratively with the sales team to convert leads into paying customers. Share best practices internally and update CRM records (Streak)
Continuously learn and improve your product knowledge and sales skills. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. Be willing to help others and share your knowledge.
Key Skills / Traits:
Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. You need to be able to quickly develop a rapport with some of the most overworked butinnovative founders
Intermediate to expert knowledge and/or experience in accounting processes will help you talk about what we do more persuasively.
Proficiency in MS Excel and G-suite tools would be preferred.
Prior experience in sales / relationship building would be desired, but not mandatory
Qualifications, Experience & Other Requirements:
At least a bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (B.Com / M. Com / MBA / CPA).
Minimum of 6+ years of accounting and finance experience (accounting experience is optional).
Candidates with knowledge of Streak CRM will be preferred
