General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Seed Operations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the defined seed objectives. This will involve supporting the sales strategies of proprietary seed products and preferred national supplier brands of corn, soybeans, cotton, alfalfa, and cover crops. The Seed Operations Specialist will be the main point of contact for support for the seed sales team.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business, or related fields preferred. Will consider other degrees with related operations experience
- Knowledge of corn, soybean, sorghum, and alfalfa production is desired
- Have knowledge of environmental, regulatory, and stewardship requirements for various technology products
- Strong operational background with good working knowledge of systems and standard industry practices
- Solid communication skills and people management
- Demonstrated skill in coordinating field input into the business planning and execution process
- Knowledge of computer software and internet to generate reports and inventory data

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
- Provide support and focus to the seed business across a defined sales area
- Processing and management of grower orders and aligning grower orders with on-hand inventory or facilitating seed swaps
- Support the sales team with logistics and inventory management
- Manage and track replant and return programs from preferred seed partners
- Manage and track preferred seed partners' seed sales program funding and marketing
- Invoice grower seed orders
- Assist in reconciling seed accounts at sales year-end
- Support the sales and operations team's overall efforts to meet sales and profit objectives
- Support preferred seed partners' data entries into the internal sales ordering platform
- Suggest improvements or alternative tactics to help achieve seed goals
- Provide support for Seed Sales Team selling efforts
- Provide sales reports in collaboration with RBA
- Participate in monthly Demand Planning call
- Participate in the management of inventory movement
- Monthly Sales Report
Compensation and Benefits:
- In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $62,500 - $83,370. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
