Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Security Integrator in Philadelphia, PA on their search for a Security Technician focused on the installation of commercial security systems in Eastern PA, NJ, and DE.
The Security Technician will be the company representative and serve as the company's point of contact with the client and the construction team when required. You will be required to install, troubleshoot, and commission commercial security systems.
Project Types: Commercial, Healthcare, Big Box Retail, Government, and Critical Infrastructure.
Job Title: Security Technician
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installs and maintains fire, security, alarm, and special systems.
- Programs and maintains equipment and systems including fire alarm, intrusion detection, video surveillance, asset protection, environmental detection, holdup/duress, integrated systems and equipment related to the alarm monitoring station.
- Processes customer billing and contractor or vendor invoices per departmental policies.
- Maintains records of work performed.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of computer server operating systems.
- Basic knowledge of IP network technologies.
- Ability to write reports containing technical information.
- Ability to install and perform routine maintenance and repairs of fire alarm, electronic premises security systems and alarm monitoring station operating software and equipment.
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Ability to lead and train staff and/or students.
- Ability to program alarm system panels.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Knowledge of costing and pricing methodology.
