School Social Worker

We are seeking to add a full-time Social Worker to our team to support students in Posen, IL for the 2023-24 school year.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide services to a caseload of about 15 - 20 students in K - 3rd grade 
• Work collaboratively across two special education classrooms to provide emotional and behavioral support to students who have Autism
• Work with students both individually and in group settings 
• Effectively evaluate, update, and communicate the needs of each student
• Professionally communicate with students, colleagues, and families 
• Participate in IEPs  and all other required meetings to benefit the students' success
• Ability to handle crisis situations
• Dates: 2023-24 School Year with the possibility to return for the 24-25 school year
• Hours: 8:15 am - 3:15 pm 
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
• IL PEL with an endorsement in Social Work 
• Previous experience in a K-12 setting preferred
