NEYRA Industries is a family-owned company built on a foundation of quality and integrity. We have over 50 years of experience and innovation in the pavement maintenance and athletic surface industry. We are currently looking for a Second ShiftBatch Operatorto join our team. Our Second ShiftBatch Operator works from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Batch Operators are responsible for the operation of process equipment, tending or controlling units or systems that process chemical and/or allied substances into intermediate or finished products. Level I position utilizes prescribed formulas or procedures, but also discretion to produce varying quality of product with respect to formulas that require above average knowledge of compounds processed or manufactured.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- To operate all process equipment in a safe manner.
- Meters into tanks, tankers, drums or other specified containers, materials per company specifications.
- Controls the operation of manufacturing equipment (Tanks, piping, values, mixers, pumps, meters, scales, etc.) to insure finished product is consistent with manufacturing specifications.
- Checks quality of finished product to ensure that all specifications for product are met and adjusts as needed per plant manager instructions.
- Notifies plant manager if plant equipment needs repairs.
- Records all actions to document what happened during each operation.
- Executes plant housekeeping and safety program at all times.
- Notifies plant manager as to the status all batches before the end of their shift.
- Communicates and cooperates with other operators.
- Keeps plant manager informed of any potential problems associated with the production of the specific products.
- Load and unload trucks, tankers and walk‑in customers as directed by the plant manager as needed.
- At certain times of the year, cleans inside of tanks and tankers as directed by plant manager.
- Operates lift truck, hand pallet jacks, hand/automatic wrapping machine and skid loaders in a safe manner.
- Moves items such as drums, pallets, raw materials, pails, finished material, etc. around as needed.
- Maintains full knowledge of all of all Neyra products and raw material and knows where each item is located.
- Reports any damage to finished material, forklift, trailer, tanker, building, etc. when accident occurs.
- Cooperates and communicates with all Neyra employees.
- Assists in monthly inventory as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to bend, kneel, stoop, crawl and climb ladders as well as stairs and other equipment. Required to stand and walk. Maximum unassisted lift = 50lbs. Required to communicate with others.
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Inside average factory building – not uniformly heated or air-conditioned. Exposed to dust, oil, grime, smoke, fumes and industrial lubricants. Noise level moderate. Exposed to grinding and welding debris. Required to abide by all OSHAA regulations.
