School Social Worker - Contract Position: Chicago, Il

ProCare Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team for a rewarding Contract Position in the vibrant city of Chicago, IL. As a School Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of students, collaborating with educators and families to create a positive and inclusive school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing a range of concerns.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to develop and implement intervention strategies.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and services.
• Conduct outreach and provide support to families in need.
• Assist in crisis intervention and management when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement.
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to special education and student services.
