Path Medical is seeking a Full-time Scheduling Coordinator.
Essential Job Functions:
- Welcomes Patients / visitors by greeting them on the telephone
- Answer phones while maintaining a polite consistent phone manner
- Answer phone calls to our dedicated scheduling line and book appointments for future appointments and follow-up visits
- Updating existing patient demographics by collecting patient detailed patient information including personal and financial information
- Respond to patients and prospective patients
- Protect patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secured
- Schedule patient's appointments and conduct daily reminder calls by calling and texting patients for their appointments
- Keep track of patients appointments to stay in compliance with what Doctor prescribed treatment plan
- Resolve and update statuses on appointments for patients
- Follow up on patients appointments that have not been confirmed, or that have been canceled/missed
- Notate each and every account accurately
- Communicate with offices regarding patients scheduling needs
- Change appointments for patients and communicate with other health care professionals about changes to preparation
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- Promote excellent customer service
- Ensure clinical safety procedures are in place and followed
- Assists in the facility cleaning, hygiene, safety and maintenance
- Ensure patient satisfaction
- Abides by HIPAA laws regarding personal medical information
- Responsible for accuracy and completion of work
- Responsible for being in compliance with Joint Commission guidelines
- Supports the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the clinic and other duties as assigned
Communication:
- Communicates effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers using a translator when necessary
- Documents information received from the patient and disseminates it to the appropriate people or areas Supports administrative decisions and activities affecting patient care
- Assists in maintaining and sharing information in order to ensure continuity of patient care through coordination of care provided by physician and support services
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Office experience and understanding of medical terminology preferred. Ability to learn basic computer programs and processes
Customer Service:Excellent phone manner and advanced communication and organizational skills
