JOB SUMMARY:
The Home Care Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the scheduling of the Sarasota Home Health Agency clients and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. H.S. Diploma or GED.
2. Prior scheduling experience preferred.
3. Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel, and Scheduling programs.
4. Basic medical terminology.
5. Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
6. Ability to carry out directions, read and write.
7. Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Understands and adheres to established Sarasota Home Health Agency policies and procedures.
2. Knowledge of policies and procedures and regulations pertaining to HIPPA.
3. Provides staffing for sick leave, vacation, long term leave.
4. Coordinates and maintains staff schedules, according to the care plan and staff availability.
5. Assist with entering staff and client information into the database.
6. Maintains staff and client database (i.e. dates and client admission, client hospital admission and discharge, when services are on hold).
7. Agency reports are completed when required.
8. Order medical supplies for patients, inventory and keep track of medical supplies in the office.
9. Works with DON and Administrator to assist in the resolution of employee staffing issues.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Works indoors in the Agency office.
