Job Description
Job Summary
The sales associate is a passionate individual who seeks to help members and guests improve their lives through health and fitness. This person is responsible for selling memberships and training services.
This role requires a considerable amount of self-motivation, leadership, collaboration, communication, and the ability to positively influence others.
Core Values
- We’re team-oriented. We should ask ourselves every day, how can I best serve our customers and my colleagues? We strive to always act for the greater good of the organization, not our self-interest.
- We’re candid. Open and honest communication is at the base of everything we do.
- We’re committed to excellence. We only get one chance to make a good first impression, so we make it a good one. We keep our gym clean and safe.
Core Focus
- Cleanliness - We have staff members who work out here, so we see things from the point of view of a member. We see when a bathroom isn’t up to snuff or dust accumulates on the cardio equipment.
- Personable and empathetic - We know your story and why your goals are so important to you. We know your grandkids’ names and check in on you when you haven’t come in in a while.
- Client results - There’s a plan for everyone to get the results they want. From personal training to nutrition coaching, both in person and virtually, there’s no excuse to not get the results you want.
- Helping members get in and out quickly - We’re nestled into a neighborhood, so the commute to the gym is short. We’re open 24/7, so usage is spread out and you never have to wait for equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- PT Sales - A sales closer finalizes a sales deal with a client. Your duties are to find prospects, follow sales leads, discuss terms with potential customers, and convince them to sign a contract. In this career, you work closely with other salespeople and managers to address short- and long-term sales goals and strategies. Personal training background isn’t required but the ability to speak to our training program and how to leverage our technology (Anytime Fitness App, body scanner, heart rate monitors, etc.) to support the growth of the training department is a must.
- Brand promoters – when you love your gym, others will too! Establish relationships with businesses and influencers in the community to promote the brand through B2B marketing. This person helps coordinate and execute engagement campaigns, national marketing campaigns, and community outreach efforts using assets and operations created by the Anytime Fitness corporate teams.
