SUMMARY:
The Sales and Business Development Manager (B2B) is responsible for obtaining new business in the following channels of business: Mass Retail, acting as the point of contact for all customer matters, anticipating the customer needs and working within the company to ensure deadlines for the customers are met, acting to help the customer succeed.
Note: Total compensation includes base salary + incentive.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Aggressively pursue new business and work within a defined quota system
- Develop a solid and trusting relationship between customer and company
- Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely manner
- Develop a complete understanding of customer needs in order to grow sales
- Anticipate customer changes and improvements in order to meet customer needs
- Manage communications between customer and internal departments to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
- Perform regular strategic planning to improve customer results
- Negotiate contracts with customers and establishing timeline of performance
- Establish and oversee internal budgets with the company and external budgets with the customer
- Work with design, creative, advertising, logistics, managers, marketing, and team members from other departments dedicated to the same customer account to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all customer needs met
- Collaborate with sales team to maximize profit by up-selling or cross-selling to customers
- Plan and present reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, stakeholders, and for possible use in future case studies or company training
- Meet all client needs and deliverables according to proposed timelines
- Analyze customer data to provide proactive customer relationship management
- Expand existing customer relationships and bring in new customers
- Work at tradeshows, conferences, and conventions on behalf of the product line and company
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 1-year previous work experience in sales, management, key account management, or relevant experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, sales, or relevant field preferred
- Experience calling on National and Regional Retail Clients is a strong plus
- Able to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions is required
- Familiarity and ability to work with a CRM system is required
- High level proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is strongly preferred
- Proven results of meeting sales goals and delivering customer solutions
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be an effective listener, presenter, and comfortable and confident speaking with people in various business settings and forums
- Demonstrate a high level of flexibility and the ability to effectively work within a matrix business
- Ability to travel up to 30% or more of the time
- Stable work history
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to stand, walk, sit, and to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Continually required to talk or hear
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
- Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
- Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
- Ability to travel, including multiple overnights, by private and public transportation as the situation require or as advised

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
