Job Summary: The Driver Manager will provide support to the Operations Manager while being the first point of contact for our drivers in a Dedicated Services Account. The Driver Manager will safely lead a team of Keller drivers and provide a level of customer service that exceeds expectations. An ideal candidate will be highly organized, have the ability to multitask, and motivation to build and nurture a friendly work environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities and Expectations
- Lead, develop, and retain a fleet of professional drivers
- Organize and maintain a driver roster that can be communicated to a customer in a proactive manner
- Order entry and completion for driver payroll and customer invoicing
- Serves as primary contact to customer’s operations team
- Build effective business relationships with customer and drivers
- Partner with the customer to expand service offerings and enhance their experience
- Track performance metrics, develop process improvements, and resolve issues that impact service levels
- Ensure all employees are providing a high level of service while maintaining a safe work environment
- Coaching on idle time %’s, fuel compliance, preventative maintenance, safety
- Work with maintenance team to ensure all equipment is being maintained and serviced
- Collaborate with senior management and customer to determine their needs and expectations and operate the account to exceed those demands
- Monitor YMS data to provide coaching to drivers on productivity
- Fill in as a driver for the shuttle operation as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and customer both orally and in writing
- Ability to take job orders from supervisor

- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, solve problems, and proceed with objectives without supervision
- Participate in corrective and preventative actions and continuous improvement projects
- Basic data entry and/or word processing skills
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating system
- Skill in the use of common office machinery
- Attention to detail
