Thales is seeking an experience Sales Engineer (SE) CIAM to join our team and play a key role in positioning and selling our Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) One Welcome platform. As a Sales Engineer (SE), you will collaborate with a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to promote, position, and provide solutions for Thales' CIAM portfolio within Enterprise accounts, Partners, and GSI's.
Your success in this role will contribute to helping companies build, secure, and manage external relationships, encompassing both B2C and B2B use-cases. This directly impacts their business model and revenue. As a dynamic and consultative individual, your primary responsibility, is to effectively communicate the technical value of the Thales One Welcome platform.
Working within customer-facing sales teams alongside regional sales managers, Sales Engineers, architects, and product managers, you will ensure that each engagement and demonstration meets the client's expectations. Utilizing your analytical and consulting skills, you'll identify the customer's objectives and determine the minimal requirements to realize their strategic ambitions.
In this role, you become the trusted advisor for the customer's technical team, articulating the business value to various stakeholders, including client-side CxO architects and business users. Your ability to navigate and understand the clients' needs will be instrumental in driving the success of Thales' CIAM solutions.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Customer-Centric Approach:

  • Conduct product demonstrations and offer technical support to both prospects and customers throughout the sales process
  • Provide advanced technical training and consultation on CIAM products and capabilities to Partners, End-Users, and other departments as an integral part of the sales cycle
  • Ability to explain complex technical constructs to a non-technical audience. Highlighting business or organizational impact
  • Conduct high-level risk assessments and feasibility analyses for bespoke customer solutions, requiring a sophisticated understanding of cybersecurity challenges to support sales negotiations

Collaboration:
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the sales team to grasp the needs of prospects and customers, crafting and delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations that highlight the value of the Thales OneWelcome solution
  • Contribute to service proposals, collaborating with Business Partners or the Thales Professional Services team
  • Work closely with Product Management to assess and recommend technical enhancements based on market initiatives, competitive intelligence, or customer requirements
  • Create and implement comprehensive workflows and detailed responses to complex RFPs and RFIs, demonstrating extensive knowledge and creativity to boost sales proposals

Technical Know How:
  • Demonstrate a strong technical acumen by staying highly informed about relevant products, competitors, and market trends
  • Maintain comprehensive technical awareness of the entire Thales CPL portfolio, extending beyond CIAM. Identify customer technical requirements and offer a clear evaluation of coverage and feasibility
  • Organize and coordinate product trials or Proof of Concept (POC) to further enhance the understanding and adoption of our products

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical subject (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering); or another relevant field of study; and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years pre-sales or professional services experience within an enterprise software or security company or system integrator, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of CIAM and IAM lifecycles, and the ability to clearly articulate the value proposition of our CIAM solutions to the digital journey of our prospects and customers.
  • Ability to write code and create automation scripts as well as IDP integrations and lookups. Including Java, Angular, React, Node.js, Express, Vue.js, and Next.js, applied to cybersecurity applications.
  • Experience working with partners and GSIs, ability to train and coach on successful integrations and deployments.
  • Proven track record and demonstrable skills at presenting technical information at the business executive level or at the architect level.
  • Knowledge/skills and demonstrated proficiency with open systems operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows etc.)
  • Strong knowledge in following areas:
    • Multi-Factor Authentication & Public Key Infrastructure
    • Identity and Access Management (SAML 2.0, Radius, WS-Federation, OAuth, and OpenID Connect, Single Sign On, APIs and Context-Based Authentication)
  • Security (encryption, access control, PKI, digital certificates etc.),
  • Identity Governance, Privilege Access Management
  • CRM/ERP/Service Management solutions
  • Python, PowerShell or Restful API.
  • Risk Management concepts and Global Security Regulations for Data.
  • CISSP, CCSP, and Cloud Architecture certifications
