Sales Development Representative (Sdr)

Role Description

Scout, one of the nation’s leading and fastest-growing SaaS applications in the veterinary industry, makes dental charting, anesthetic planning and monitoring in veterinary hospitals safer and at least 80% faster than current methods.

Due to rapid growth we are seeking a motivated and well-spoken Junior Sales Development Representative to expand our sales department and help improve the safety, efficiency, and happiness of veterinary teams around the country. As the first line of communication with a prospect, the ideal SDR has a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching & qualifying leads, starting new relationships, and scheduling demonstrations for sales teams.

Responsibilities

• Make a high volume of a mix of warm and cold outbound touches to potential customers through various channels (phone calls, emails, LinkedIn)
• Research and qualify new leads
• Understand customers' needs and identify sales opportunities
• Manage and maintain a pipeline of prospects and engage decision makers to schedule demonstrations for our sales team
• Educate yourself on the veterinary industry and the inner workings of veterinary offices
• Keep up to date on product information and updates
• Stay informed about competing products
• Travel as needed for trade shows paid for by the company

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum two years proven experience hitting performance metrics as a Sales Development Representative
• Hands-on experience with multiple sales prospecting techniques like cold calling, cold emailing and LinkedIn outreach
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Experience with Close or other CRM platforms
• Experience in the Veterinary field a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
• Quiet workspace with reliable phone and internet service
